Carbonics awarded a DoD ARMY Contract

Carbonics has been awarded a US ARMY contract to develop Carbon Nanotube Based Monolithic Millimeter-wave Integrated Circuits to dramatically improve the power and spectral efficiencies in wireless communication. The contract will be managed by the Army Research Laboratory.

Carbonics 5G RF smashes past ft 60GHz with Gm >200 mS/mm

Carbonics RF technology smashes past ft 60GHz with Gm >200 mS/mm. The Carbonics carbon enabled RF technology allows for high performance RF device technology (similar to GaAs performance) on standard silicon CMOS or FD SOI substrate with a variety of device technology & design arrangements such as top gate, back gate, GAA, Body Bias, SOC. …

CNT RF beats incumbent leader GaAs in Linearity by 10x

RF Circuit legend and textbook author, Dr. Stephen Maas has measured the the superior linearity properties of CNT and compared them to GaAs. In his recent 2017 IEEE Microwave Symposium paper he highlights: “…CNT’s a1 / a3 ratio is greater than the pHEMT’s, showing more than an order of magnitude superiority” “…Linearity measurements show that CNT …

Carbonics awarded US Air Force contract

Carbonics has been awarded a US Air Force contract to develop high linearity Carbon Nanotube Field Effect Transistor (CFET) for RF amplification to dramatically improve the power and spectral efficiencies in wireless communication. Modern communications systems utilize complex RF modulation schemes to increase spectral efficiency, bits/second/Hz. Distortions caused by nonlinear RF amplifiers directly limit the …
